'Your Baby & Birth Islamic Doula Services' is a Sydney based pregnancy, birth and postnatal support service available to Muslim women; providing doula support for all types of births - hospital, birth centre and home births, medicated and unmedicated, cesarean and vaginal birth after cesarean (vbac), twins and breech - and all types of postnatal and breastfeeding support.
About me...
"I'm a homeschooling mother, blessed with 4 amazing children. I am a fully qualified birth and postnatal doula, and childbirth educator, and have been privileged with attending over 60 births so far.
I am also founder of Nakhlah Childbirth International, providing support and education for mothers, and training for new doulas within the Muslim Community.
Since the birth of my children, I developed a passion and fascination with birth, babies and the benefits of breastfeeding. Having come from a family with strong, supportive women, and being part of a community with a true sense of sisterhood, I have developed a deep respect for women - especially for their diversity as mothers.
This led me onto the path of becoming a doula - and I am now dedicated to educating and supporting women throughout their journey of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. My hope is for women to embrace the births of their babies, by seeking information and support, exploring their options, and trusting their instincts as mothers." - Aisha Smith
